U6705 PARK ROAD ASHINGTON (NUMBER 2)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6705 Park Road from its junction with Green Lane for a distance of 175 metres in a northerly direction in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th April 2026 until the 13th October 2026.

It is anticipated initially that the road will only be closed from the 13th April 2026 until the 17th April 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00; however, the order will remain in place until the 13th October 2026 as due to the condition of the road additional works may be required and will be signposted accordingly.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the Order is in force being Darnley Road, Kenilworth Road, Green Lane and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 17th April 2026 until the 12th June 2026.

Footway Closures

U9572 Footway Past Gable End Of 18 Cairnglass Green from its junction with U9572 Cadleston Court Footway in a north westward direction for its entire length. U9572 Footway At Rear Of 19-27 Cairnglass Drive from its junction with U9572 Footway Past Gable End Of 18 Cairnglass Green in a north westward direction for 10 metres.

U9572 Footway Outside 9-18 Cairnglass Green from its junction with U9572 Footway Past Gable End Of 18 Cairnglass Green in a south westward direction for 15 metres.

It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 17thApril 2026 until the 8th May 2026. The footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th June 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Footway At Rear Of 19-27 Cairnglass Drive, Cairnglass Green, Footway Outside 23-27 Cairnglass Green, Footway Outside 9-18 Cairnglass Green, Footway Outside 1-8 Cairnglass Green, Cadleston Court Footway and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closures have been requested by Northern Gas Networks to allow for gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

BLYTH VALLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH
NUMBER 13
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the Blyth Valley public footpath number 13 in the County of Northumberland as described below:

Blyth Valley Public Footpath Number 13

From the junction with public footpath number 22 on the southern side of the railway level crossing in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 25 metres over the railway crossing to the junction with public bridleway number 16 and public bridleway number 178 south-west of Chase Meadows.

There is no alternative route for pedestrian traffic for the duration of the Order.

The Order is to be effective from the 5thApril 2026 until the 5th October 2026.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council due to a likelihood of danger not attributable to works but is due to the footpath crossing a railway line which is unsafe due to an increased number of trains, the increased speed of trains and a line of visibility that does not meet rail standards for users crossing the railway line using the footpath.

C123 DISTRICT BOUNDARY TO PARK ROAD

DISTRICT BOUNDARY
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland:

C123 District Boundary to Park Road from its junction with U6058 in a south-westerly direction for its entirety.

C123 Alcan Smelter Access to District Boundary from its point with District Boundary to Park Road in a south westerly direction for its entirety.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th April 2026 until the 16th October 2026.

Work will be carried out in weather-dependant phases: Phase 1 & 2 Pre-surface dressing patching and civils, Phase 3 Surface dressing, Phase 4 Lock chip, Phase 5 White lining and road studs.

It is expected that the road will only be closed for Phase 1 & 2 from the 16th April 2026 until the 17th April 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U6058, C110, C122, A1068, A189, A197, C123, and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to undertake surface dressing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

U6514 RICHARDSON STREET ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on a section of the U6514 Richardson Street from its point at the rear of 50 Richardson Street for a distance of 18 metres in a south-easterly direction in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 16th April 2026 until the 17th April 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 16th April 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00; however, the order will remain in place until the 17th April 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the Order is in force being Monkseaton Terrace, Newbiggin Road Back Lane, Milburn Road, Eighth Avenue and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U9515 GRANTHAM STREET BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9515 Grantham Street Blyth from its junction with Wensleydale Terrace for a distance of 25 metres in a south-easterly direction in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 9thApril 2026 until the 23rd April 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 9th April 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 23rd April 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Grantham Street, Nixon Terrace, Dent Street, Wensleydale Terrace and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U9516 TWELFTH AVENUE BLYTH
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9516 Twelfth Avenue Blyth from its junction with Eighth Avenue heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 550 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 7thApril 2026 until the 7th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 7th April 2026 until the 13th April 2026 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Eighth Avenue, Princess Louise Road, Broadway Circle, Broadway, Plessey Road, Twentyfifth Avenue, Twentysixth Avenue, TwentiethAvenue and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
