Huntingdonshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Restrictions due to Maintenance and Utility Works
What is happening?

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Ermine Street, Little Stukeley
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20015
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ermine Street, Little Stukeley as lies between A1307 & Church Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A141; A1307 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & cycleway construction & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/4/26 & 31/3/27.
Priory Lane, St Neots
Temporary Revocation Of Prohibition Of Waiting – Order 2026-20025
Is to permit any vehicle to park/wait along Priory Lane, St Neots as lies outside Priory Chambers. During the period this Order remains in force THE DISTRICT OF HUNTINGDONSHIRE (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS & STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025. No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of Police Officer in uniform or Civil Enforcement Officer cause or permit any vehicle other than a Pedal Cycle to Wait on the roads or sides of roads subject to restrictions identified as no waiting during the specified time period, for the periods identified on the Map Schedules pursuant to this order is hereby suspended insofar as it affects Priory Lane, St Neots. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate skip placement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 30/3/26 & continue until these works have finished or on 29/9/27 the whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30/3/26 & 28/5/27.
Green End, Great Stukeley
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20031
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Green End, Great Stukeley as lies between No. 12 and Ermine Street. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate overhead/underground cable replacment and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20/4/26 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20/4 and 22/4/26.
Middlefield Road, Sawtry
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20033
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middlefield Road, Sawtry as lies between Westfield Road & Hunters Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Middlefield Rd; Green End Rd; Rockingham Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/4 & 10/4/26.
Chequer Street, Hall Green Lane & Manor Drive, Fenstanton
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20038
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chequer Street, Hall Green Lane and Manor Drive, Fenstanton as lies between No.33 and Talls Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Chequer St. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage maintenance and associated investigations and installation works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/4 and 12/4/26.
Harrison Way A1096, St Ives
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20054
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Harrison Way A1096, St Ives as lies between Low Road & Parsons Green. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1096; A1123; A141; A1307; A1096 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 06:00hrs 13/4 to 27/4/26.
Station Road, Kimbolton
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20069
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Kimbolton as lies between Stow Road & Station Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A14; A45; A6; B645 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway surface dressing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/4 & 30/9/26.
Ford End, Hail Weston
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20070
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ford End, Hail Weston as lies outside Sewage Works. The alternative route for vehicles is via Ford End; B1041; B1428; B1048; B645; High St; Ford End & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate supply pipe repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7/4 & 9/4/26.
Abbots Ripton Bridleyway 20, Abbots Ripton
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20091
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Abbots Ripton Bridleyway 20, Abbots Ripton as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/10/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 16:00hrs 7/4/26.
Low Road, Fenstanton
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2026-20099
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Low Road, Fenstanton as lies between Jones Boatyard & A1096. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1096; A1307; Low Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate S278 & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/4/26 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/4 & 15/5/26.
Various Roads, West
Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic and Temporary Revocation of 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit – Order 2026-20056
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. During the period this Order remains in force as mentioned in Schedule 2. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway surface dressing & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/4/26 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 30/9/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.
