CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(EVERTON ROAD, TEMPSFORD AND EVERTON HILL, EVERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Everton Road, Tempsford and Everton Hill, Everton 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
This temporary closure is required to enable barrier installation and pothole repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 19 April 2026 between the hours of 2250pm – 0850am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Tempsford Road, Sandy Road, Everton Road, Swaden, High Street, Bedford Road, Great North Road, Blunham Lane, C54 from Blunham Lane to Station Road, Church Street and Everton Road.
The Order will come into operation on 18 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Blunham Road, Moggerhanger outside number 17.
This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of St Johns Street, Biggleswade outside number 51.
This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 20 April 2026 between the hours of 0900 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 April to 28 November 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for the Hitchin Street closure is via B659, A507, A600, B658, A6001 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 23 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 7 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(BIGGLESWADE: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 58)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2119 4262 to OS GR TL 2162 4303.
This temporary closure is required to safely complete construction work adjacent to the right of way. The closure is expected to take place from 30 March 2026 for up to six months.
There is no alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation.

The Order will come into operation on 30 March 2026 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
