NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water connection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Carr Lane, Middlestown from 6 Carr Lane to 8 Carr Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Carr Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A Residents access to be maintained where possible.

Northern Gas Network to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mountbatten Avenue, Wakefield for approximately 31 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mountbatten Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Walton Lane, Barnsley Road, Chevet Lane, Walton Station Lane & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new water main to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Garmil Lane, Wragby from Swine Lane to the junction with Doncaster Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Garmil Lane. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Doncaster Road, Offley Lane, Hemsworth Lane, Garmil Head Lane, Garmil Lane & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: George Street, Horbury, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of George Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A. Dead end. Provision made for residents to park on Cluntergate.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th March 2026 to 31st March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Crofton. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Santingley Lane, Wintersett Lane, Long Dam Lane,

Back Lane, Moorhouse Lane, Swine Lane, Nostell Lane, Station Road, Ryhill

(FERRY TOP LANE, WINTERSETT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 93) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for Wakefield surface dressing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ferry Top Lane, Wintersett. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ferry Top Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Haw Park Lane, Long Dam Lane, Back Lane,

Moorhouse Lane, Swine Lane, Nostell Lane, Station Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th April 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. The closure was originally due to be in force on the 2nd April 2026, however it has been changed to 7th April as above.
