What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES, BASINGSTOKE & DEANE & HART

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

Huish Lane, Old Basing & Lychpit between its junction with Hackwood Lane and its junction with Huish. (23/03-25/03 & 20/04-22/04)

Hackwood Lane, Tunworth between its junction with Down Farm Lane and its junction with Basingstoke Road. (23/03-26/03 & 20/04-23/04)

Basingstoke Road, Upton Grey between its junction with Greywell Road and its junction with Hackwood Lane. (24/03-30/03 & 21/04-26/04)

Church Street, Upton Grey between its junction with Greywell Road and its junction with Bidden Road. (26/03-31/03 & 23/04-27/04)

Lees Hill, Upton Grey & South Warnborough between its junction with Bidden Road and its junction with Gaston Lane. (27/03-02/04 & 24/04-01/05)

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Huish Lane- A30 London Road, Ringway South, Hackwood Road, Dickens Lane.

Hackwood Lane, Basingstoke Road and Church Street- Tunworth Road, Huish Lane, A30 London Road, Greywell Road, Nately Road, The Street, Deptford Lane, Bidden Road, Church Street.

Lees Hill- Bidden Road, Ford Lane, B3349 Alton Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 23rd March 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 months working between the hours 08:00-18:00). Dates for closures are included above.

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Fibrewave to complete major cabling works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: streetworks@fibrewave.uk.
