(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.
• A698 Wideopen Plantation Junction To Berwick from its junction with the C4 heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 6010 metres.
• A698 Cornhill to Wideopen Plantation Junction from its point with the Wideopen Plantation Junction To Berwick continuing on in a south westerly direction for a length of 2710 metres.
• B6470 Salutation Pub Junction To Norham from its junction with the A698 heading in a westerly direction for a length of 455 metres.
• C8 Shoreswood Farm Junction To Ancroft from its junction with theA698 heading in a easterly direction for a length of 1308 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 20th April 2026 until the 20th November 2026.
The road closures will be carried out in weather dependant phases.
Phase 1 & 2 Pre-surface dressing patching and civils works.
Phase 3 Surface dressing works.
Phase 4 Lock chip works.
Phase 5 White lining and road stud works.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A698, A1, B6341 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council road closure to carry out surface dressing and associated works. Works will be carried out in different phases. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

U2004 MOUSEN BURN JUNCTION TO OUTCHESTER JUNCTION BELFORD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U2004 Mousen Burn Junction to Outchester Junction Belford 600 metres south westerly from its point with the B1342 Outchester Cottages to Belford Station heading in a south-westerlydirectionforadistanceof360metresintheCountyofNorthumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 14th April 2026 until the 15th April 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th April 2026 until the 15th April 2026 between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th April 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U2004, B1342, A1 and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly. The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic to locate culvert headwalls and CCTV. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

B6350 MAIN ROAD WARK
B6350 WARK TO CORNHILL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Wark in the County of Northumberland.
• B6350 Wark Main Road from outside the front of The Old School heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 520 metres.
• B6350 Wark to Cornhill from its point with Wark Main Road continuing on in an easterly direction for a distance of 1140 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th April 2026 until the 11th November 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates; however, the order will remain in place until 11th November 2026.
• Civil Works – Road Closure 08:00 to 17:00 between 6th April 2026 until 24th April 2026
• Surfacing works, Road Closure 08:00 to 17:00 between 11th May 2026 until 15th May 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6350, A698 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

Byway Open to All Traffic No 56/Footpath No 28 (Parish of Ingram)
Upgrading thereto to byway open to all traffic status, part of existing Public Footpath No 28, from the junction of Restricted Byway No 35 and the U1086 road, 95 metres east of Hartside (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9763 1619), in a general westerly direction for a distance of 130 metres to the southern end of alleged Restricted Byway No 54, 35 metres south of Hartside (NT 9752 1618).

Adding thereto a restricted byway, from existing Public Footpath No 28, 35 metres south of Hartside (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9752 1618), in a general westerly direction for a distance of 805 metres to join existing Public Bridleway No 2, 500 metres northeast of Linhope Farm House (NT 9683 1647).
Public Footpath No 5 and Restricted Byway No 35 (Parish of Ingram)
The Definitive Statements for these existing public right of way will be amended to reflect the addition of Byway Open to All Traffic No 56.
