(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER(NO 91) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for Wakefield surface dressing 2026 to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Loscoe Lane, Ackton. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Loscoe Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ackton Lane, Sewerbridge Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd April 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 103) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for Surface Dressing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Gilcar Way, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Gilcar Way.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th April 2026 to 16th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Paddock View, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Paddock View.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for microsurfacing 2026 to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: College Road, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of College Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Redhill Road, Airedale Road, Hastings Crescent & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th April 2026 to 20th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Queens Road, Airedale. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Queens Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Redhill Road, College Road, Hastings Crescent & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th April 2026 to 20th April 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for BT pole safety testing to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ryhill Pits Lane, Cold Hiendley outside Rose Farm for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ryhill Pits Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cold Hiendley Common Lane, Church Lane, Hall Field Lane, Mill Lane, School Lane, Ryhill Pits Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th April 2026 between 09.30 hours and 15.30 hours, open at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace a manhole frame and cover to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Whitwood Common Lane, Castleford as below:
Right turn ban – no right turn Whitwood Common Lane at the junction of Pioneer Way.
DIVERSION: Whitwood Common Lane, roundabout, Whitwood Common Lane.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th April 2026 between 09.00 hours and 15.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(PARK ROAD, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER (NO 118) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for road works at the Barrett site, building a new entrance and a roundabout to be carried out as follows:
ROADS AFFECTED: Park Road, Pontefract between the junction of De Lacy Way to the junction of Princes Drive, Pontefract.
SPEED LIMIT: Temporary 30 MPH speed limit.
PERIOD OF ORDER: From and including 13th April 2026 to 18th December 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
