(Temporary Road Closures, One-Way Road Closures & Right & Left Turn Bans) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Owen Street, which will have temporary one-way road closures & temporary road closures in place on the below dates (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits):- 1) A one-way road closure will be in place, traffic will proceed only in a northbound direction from it’s junction with Sedgley Road West to west of its junction with Alexandra Road on the following dates: 30/03/2026 - 08/05/2026 (24hrs) & 11/05/2026 - 26/05/2026 (24hrs). 2) A one way road closure will be in place, traffic will proceed only in a southbound direction from west of its junction with Alexandra Road to its junction with Sedgely Road West, a right turn ban will also be in place at Albion Street at the junction of Owen Street alongside a left turn ban at Wood Street, Coppice Street & Factory Road at the junctions of Owen Street on the following dates: 27/05/2026 - 02/06/2026 (24hrs), 03/06/2026 - 04/06/2026 (24hrs) & 05/06/2026 - 08/06/2026 (24hrs). 3) A one-way road closure will be in place, traffic will proceed only in a southbound direction from west of its junction with Alexandra Road to its junction with Sedgley Road West, a right turn ban will also be in place at Albion Street at the junction of Owen Street alongside a left turn ban at Brick Kiln Street, Wood Street & Coppice Street at the junctions of Owen Street: 09/06/2026 - 01/07/2026 (24hrs). 4) A road closure will also be in place at Wood Street from its junction with Owen Street for approximately 15 metres for the duration of the Owen Street one-way closure: 09/06/2026 - 01/07/2026 (24hrs). 5) A road closure will be in place at Owen Street from its junction with Sedgely Road West to west of its junction with Coppice Street: 23/06/2026 - 03/07/2026. A further road closure is in place at Factory Road from its junction with Owen Street for approximately 15 metres: 23/06/2026 - 03/07/2026 (7pm - 6am). 6) A one-way road closure will be in place, traffic will proceed only in a southbound direction from west of its junction with Alexandra Road to its junction with Sedgley Road West, a right turn ban will also be in place at Albion Street at the junction of Owen Street alongside a left turn ban at Wood Street, Coppice Street & Factory Road at the junctions of Owen Street: 02/07/2026 - 10/07/2026 (24hrs). A road closure will also be in place at Brick Kiln Street from its junction with Owen Street for approximately 15 metres for the duration of the Owen Street one way closure: 02/07/2026 - 10/07/2026 (24hrs). A traffic diversion route will be signed for the one-way closure and road closures at Owen Street & Factory Road via Alexandra Road, Lower Church Lane, Dudley Port, Park Lane West & vice versa. A traffic diversion route will be signed for the road closure at Wood Street, via Coppice Street, Brick Kiln Street & vice versa. A traffic diversion route will be signed for the road closure at Brick Kiln Street via Wood Street & vice versa. In addition, there will be temporary traffic signals in operation at Owen Street for the duration of the Owen Street works:- a) Temporary traffic signals from the 30/03/2026 - 08/05/2026 & 11/05/2026 - 26/05/2026 at Brick Kiln Street, Albion Street & Owen Street. b) Temporary traffic signals from 27/05/2026 - 02/06/2026 & 03/06/2026 - 04/06/2026 at Owen Street & Factory Road. c) Temporary traffic signals from 05/06/2026 - 08/06/2026 & 09/06/2026 - 01/07/2026 at Owen Street & Coppice Street. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 10/07/2026, effective from 30/03/2026 (24hrs). (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding via Beaconview Road from its junction with the mini roundabout at Navigation Lane to the extended boundary between No’s 564 & 566 Beaconview Road. Traffic will be diverted via Beaconview Road, Charlemont Road, Bustleholme Lane, Jervoise Lane, Walsall Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 29/03/2026. Purpose – to facilitate repairs to a damaged manhole cover and frame by Severn Trent Water. (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding via Shelsley Avenue from its junction with Wolverley Crescent to its junction with Kempsey Close.
Traffic will be diverted via Shelsley Avenue, Wolverley Crescent, Martley Road, Newbury Lane, Throne Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 03/04/2026, effective from 30/03/2026. (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding via Vicarage Road from its junction with Arlington Road to its junction with Sienna Way. Traffic will be diverted via Heath Lane, Walsall Road, Lyndhurst Road, Hollyhedge Road, All Saints Way, The Expressway, Old Meeting Street & Church Lane. A diversion route for southbound traffic will be signed via Church Lane, Old Meeting Street, The Expressway, All Saints Way & Heath Lane. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 29/03/26.

(Temporary One-Way Operation and Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding via the following roads in Oldbury: Roway Lane – no vehicle shall proceed, other than in a north-easterly direction, via Roway Lane from its junction with Albion Street (including the junction) to its junction with Dudley Road. A diversion route for south-west bound traffic approaching from West Bromwich Street in a southerly direction will be signed via West Bromwich Street, Fountain Lane, Bromford Road, Oldbury Ringway & Dudley Road. A diversion route for south-westbound traffic approaching from West Bromwich Street in a northerly direction will be diverted via West Bromwich Street, Albion Road, Brandon Way, Greets Green Road, Whitehall Road, Great Bridge, Market Place, Horseley Heath, Dudley Port, Sedgley Road East, Tipton Road & Dudley Road East. Albion Street – at the point of its junction with Roway Lane. Traffic will be diverted via Dudley Road, Salop Street & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 21/04/2026, effective from 01/04/2026. Purpose – to facilitate ongoing water main replacement by South Staffs Water. (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Crosswells Road, which will be closed from its junction with Vicarage Road to the dividing line of property No’s 90 & 92. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Vicarage Road, Tat Bank Road, Western Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 01/04/2026, effective from 30/03/2026 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for repair works by South Staffs Water. (Temporary Road Closure) and (Regent Road and Trafalgar Road, Oldbury)
(Temporary No Right Turning Restrictions) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along New Birmingham Road, which will be closed one-way in a southerly direction between the junctions of Tividale Road (southern side) & Lower City Road (northern side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route for the temporary one-way closure of New Birmingham Road will be signed via Tividale Road, Dudley Road West, Dudley Road East, Dudley Road, Oldbury Ringway & Churchbridge. The order also intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from turning right from both Regent Road & Trafalgar Road to New Birmingham Road. A traffic diversion route for the no right turning restrictions from Regent Road & Trafalgar Road to New Birmingham Road will be signed via New Birmingham Road (northerly direction), Birmingham Road (westerly direction) to Castle Gate Island (Dudley), Birmingham Road (easterly direction), New Birmingham Road to re-join the traffic diversion route for the one-way closure of New Birmingham Road at Tividale Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 03/04/2026, effective from 30/03/2026 (9pm - 5am each evening/morning). Purpose – to facilitate access for carriageway re-surfacing, white lining & cutting of traffic signal detection loops by Fitzgeralds Contractors Ltd on behalf of Sandwell MBC.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Titford Road, which will be closed from the junction of Junction Street South (south-western side) to the dividing line of property No’s 58/60. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route (southerly direction) will be signed via Wolverhampton Road, Causeway Green Road, New Henry Street, Joinings Bank, Vicarage Road, Crosswells Road & Station Road. A traffic diversion route (northerly direction) will be signed via Old Park Lane, Park Lane, Station Road, Crosswells Road, Vicarage Road, Joinings Bank, New Henry Street, Causeway Green Road & Wolverhampton Road. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 10/04/2026, effective from 30/03/2026 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access for electrical & gas service works for a new development by S & R Construction Ltd.

(Temporary Road Closures) Order 2026 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Slatch House Road, which will be subject to the following road closures:- From the junction of Alexander Road to the dividing line of property No’s 27/29, including the cul-de-sac leading to property No’s 50 - 76 (1st April - 15th April 2026).
Between the dividing lines of property No’s 11A/15 & 27/29, including the cul-de-sac leading to property No’s 18 - 44 (15th - 25th April 2026).
From the junction of Alexander Road to the dividing line of property No’s 11A/15 (25th April - 5th May 2026).
Access to any frontages affected by the above road closures will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route for all road closures will be signed via Alexander Road in both directions. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 05/05/2026, effective from 01/04/2026 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access for electrical service works by National Grid Electricity Distribution Ltd.
