(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026



NOTICE is hereby given that the Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intend to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic from proceeding along the Definitive Public Right of Way known as Footpath 61 Willenhall, between Villiers Street and Temple Road

The alternative route for pedestrians affected by this order will be along Villiers Street, Cemetery Road and Temple Road

Access to the footpath will be unavailable for the duration of demolition works to the former industrial works, directly alongside the western side of the footpath, which are anticipated to commence on 12th April 2026. The Order will remain in force for up to a maximum period of 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed and the footpath will re-open by 8th May 2026.

Closure during this period is necessary in the interests of public safety during the demolition works.
