THE INTRODUCTION OF A 20 MPH SPEED
RESTRICTION AND THE INTRODUCTION
OF A BUFFER ZONE SPEED RESTRICTION
VARIOUS ROADS, THROUGHOUT
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
various roads and use of suspended parking bays under
the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (On Street Parking
and Revocation) (Civil Enforcement) Order 2021,
the introduction of a 20 mph speed restriction and
buffer zone on the approaches to the 20 mph where
applicable (signs to be erected on site) on various
roads, throughout East Riding of Yorkshire commencing
21 April 2026 to allow carriageway maintenance and
surface dressing works to place. The road closures,
suspension of parking bays and introduction of the
temporary 20 mph speed restriction and buffer zones
are necessary to enable the works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of

anticipated that the works will be completed by
31 August 2026 (weather permitting). The diversion
routes for traffic affected by the road closures will
be signed in advance. The roads will be closed to
all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
