(FOUNDRY LANE) (ROAD CLOSURE) (451/56)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close the following:

Road

From

To

Foundry Lane

Its junction with Benson Road

Its junction with Henry Road

Imperial Avenue

Its junction with Lemon Road

Its junction with Kingsley Road

English Road

50m west of its junction with Imperial Avenue

Its junction with Foundry Lane

Villiers Road

Its junction with Heysham Road

50m north of its junction with Heysham Road

Heysham Road

Its junction with Foundry Lane

80m west of its junction with Villiers Road

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are highways surveys and trial holes.

3. The alternative routes will be advertised locally.

4. The Order will come into force on 7th April 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 14th April 2026.
