Old Wells Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Pole Replacement Works

Somerset Council Parish of Whatley Temporary Closure of Old Wells Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Old Wells Road - from 22 metres north west of the junction with Bulls Green Lane, south-eastwards for a total distance of 55 metres. This Order will enable Barr Engineering to replace a pole on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 3rd April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 9th April 2026 and last until 9th April 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 10 hours.
