(EXCHANGE STREET, JEDBURGH) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Exchange Street, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 2 April 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 06:00 and 17:00. The Order is required for crane lift for roof trusses.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Exchange Street, Jedburgh.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Abbey Place, Abbey Bridge End, A68 and Canongate to the point of closure, westbound traffic is via  High Street, Pleasance and Friarsgate to the point  of closure.
