UDDINGSTON (TEMPORARY ROAD
CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On 16 March 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Utility Connections) on Laburnum Road, Viewpark, Uddingston from junction of B7001 Old Edinburgh Road to Roundabout at Heather Gardens by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: B7001 Old Edinburgh Road, Elmbank Avenue, Burnhead Street and Laburnum Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Friday, 3 April 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 19 April 2026.
