CROYDON COUNCIL - DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 252 - The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. 3) Order 2026 - The Croydon (On-Street Charged - For Parking Places) (No. 3) Order 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 16th March 2026 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

    a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of: No. 23 Boswell Road, Thornton Heath, No. 470 Chipstead Valley Road, Coulsdon, No. 89 Coleridge Road, Croydon, No. 34 Ferndale Road, South Norwood, No. 56 Leander Road, Thornton Heath, No. 76 Melfort Road, Thornton Heath, No. 185 Norbury Crescent, Norbury, No. 10 to 17 Underwood, Field Way, Croydon, Nos. 4 and 6 Redstart Close, New Addington, and No. 33 Tugela Road, Croydon.

    b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 23rd March 2026, and of all associated Orders, can be inspected between 10:00am and 6:00pm, at: Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET, for a period of six weeks from the date the Orders were made. Alternative arrangements by email to: Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

CORRIGENDUM - CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, As Amended - Notice Of Variation Of Parking Charges - Charges For On-Street Parking In The Croydon Controlled Parking Zones & District Centres, Off-Street Car Parks & Miscellaneous Charges For Parking Bay Suspensions, Dispensations & Traffic Management Orders.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above-titled public advertisement, which appeared in the Croydon Guardian on 12th March 2026, and revised the charges that apply to parking places on-street and off-street, permits used in off-street car parks, miscellaneous charges for parking bay suspensions, dispensations, and Traffic Management Orders showed incorrect existing and proposed parking bay suspension and dispensation charges and All Zones Permit charges. The corrected figures for these charges are shown in bold text in the Schedule below.

The provisions of this Notice will take permanent effect on 7th April 2026.

CROYDON COUNCIL - Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic Temporary Restrictions Act 1991 - Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon - Temporary Restriction Of Traffic & Parking

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate footway re-surfacing works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) The north-western (odd-numbered side) footway of Cherry Orchard Road will be closed between its junctions with Lower Addiscombe Road and Leslie Grove.

    b) The carriageway of Cherry Orchard Road will be closed between its junctions with Lower Addiscombe Road and Leslie Park Road.

    c) Parking in Cherry Orchard Road will be suspended on both sides of the road between its junction with Lower Addiscombe Road and the common boundary of Nos. 119 and 121 Cherry Orchard Road.

  3. Whilst footway closure is in force, pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below. Access will be maintained for residents.

    - Via Lower Addiscombe Road, A215 and A232 and reversed.

    - Via Fairfield Road, Altyre Road and Addiscombe Road.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 23rd March 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over three nights from 8:00pm to 5:00am, finishing on 26th March 2026. However, the order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be necessary.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle or person involved in conducting the said work.

    (b) vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
