THE A38 TRUNK ROAD (MOWHAY FOOTBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A38 trunk road in Devon to allow bridge resurfacing and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place on or after 6 April 2026.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the closure of the overbridge crossing the A38 between Mowhay Road and Tamar Way.
During the closure described above pedestrians would be diverted via other crossing points.
The closures (which would not apply to emergency services or works personnel), and diversion route would be clearly indicated by signs throughout the works.
The Order would come into force on 4 April 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
