THE HAMPSHIRE (RUSHMOOR BOROUGH COUNCIL) (VARIOUS ROADS IN ALDERSHOT) (PROHIBITION & RESTRICTION OF WAITING INCLUDING LOADING & UNLOADING PROVISION AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (C0021) ORDER 2021 (VARIATION NO. 2) ORDER 2026

AND

THE HAMPSHIRE (RUSHMOOR BOROUGH COUNCIL) (PARKING FOR DISABLED PERSONS IN ALDERSHOT AND FARNBOROUGH) (CONSOLIDATION) (DC0020) ORDER 2021 (VARIATION NO. 1) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Orders on Friday 13th March 2026, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 39, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS:

Order One Will:

Amend ‘The Rushmoor Borough Council (School Entrance Markings in Aldershot and Farnborough) (Prohibition of Stopping & Waiting) (Consolidation) Order 2009’ to implement a ‘No stopping Mondays to Fridays, inclusive, 8am – 5pm on school entrance markings’ restriction on the north-east side of Gloucester Road between a point 44 metres south east of its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 70 metres south-east of that junction.

Order Two Will:

Amend ‘The Rushmoor Borough Council (Various Roads in Aldershot) (Prohibition &

Restriction of Waiting Including Loading & Unloading Provision and On-Street Parking Places)

(Consolidation) (C0021) Order 2021’ to:

(i) implement ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions on

(a) Gloucester Road - South-West Side - Between its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 23 metres south-east thereof

(b) Gloucester Road - North-East Side - Between its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 23 metres south-east thereof

(c) Lower Farnham Road -South-East Side - Between a point 28 metres south-west of its junction with Gloucester Road and a point 27 metres north-east of that junction

(ii) implement ‘No waiting & no loading / unloading Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm’ restrictions on:

(a) Gloucester Road - South-West Side - Between a point 54 metres south-east of its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 67 metres south-east of that junction

(b) Gloucester Road - North-East Side - Between a point 29 metres south-east of its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 44 metres south-east of that junction

Order Three Will:

Amend ‘The Rushmoor Borough Council (Parking for Disabled Persons in Aldershot and Farnborough) (Consolidation) (DC0020) Order 2021’ to implement disabled persons’ parking places on the south-west side of Gloucester Road between a point 67 metres south-east of its junction with B3208 Lower Farnham Road and a point 73 metres south-east of that junction

DATE OF OPERATION: The orders will come into force on Monday 30th March 2026.

(ii) Rushmoor Borough council, Customer Services, Council Offices, Farnborough Road, GU14 7JU (Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays: 09:00 – 14:00)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

(iv) Copies of the order as made, plan and statement of reasons can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Universal Services, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2092/KK

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, by Friday 8th May 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
