(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &

Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Rochford as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per the schedule to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping and On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 26th March 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Church Road, Vange) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Vange in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Osborne Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th April 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (YN10013571-ERI-STM-JW – MBNL). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance and repair works are undertaken by MBNL.

An alternative route is available via Clay Hill Road, Timberlog Lane, Mopsies Roundabout, Broadmayne or Clay Hill Road, Sparrows Herne, Lee Wootens Lane, Nether Mayne, Roundacre and Broadmayne (with access only into Church Road).

The Order will come into effect on 26th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Elder Way, Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Elder Way, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Elder Avenue for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30044976476 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while permanent reinstatement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Laburnum Avenue, Nevendon Road, Elder Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fountain Lane, Hockley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &

Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Fountain Lane, Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Folly Lane to its junction with High Road a distance of approximately 325m.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Fountain Lane, Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Folly Lane to its junction with High Road as detailed in ‘The County Council of Essex (Fountain Lane, Hockley) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1973’ for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30001845736 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via High Road, Aldermans Hill, Folly Lane and vice versa.

(Highcliffe Road, Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Highcliffe Road, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 255m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th April 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2397711 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Southend Road, Hill Avenue, Beauchamps Drive, Whist Avenue, Highcliffe Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 26th March 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(High Road, South Benfleet) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Road, South Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Cumberland Avenue for a distance of approximately 45m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M164904 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while permanent reinstatement works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

(London Road, Vange) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Vange (eastbound lane only) in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Five Bells Roundabout for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th April 2026 for 1 night (19:00-23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03766315652 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replacing man hole cover and frame works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via A13, A132, A1321, B1419, B1464.

(Vange Bypass, Vange) (Layby Only) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (No.5) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the Schedule.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 26th March 2026 exact dates will be specified on One.Network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Victoria Avenue, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 175m north east of its junction with Cheapside West for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th April 2026 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013333882 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

(Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Brays Lane, Rochford in the District of Rochford from its junction with the Roundabout at Shires Way for a distance of approximately 350m in an easterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the weight restriction in that length of Lark Hill Road/Anchor Lane and Lambourne Hall Road, Canewdon in the District of Rochford from the junction with Ashingdon Road to the junction with Creeksea Ferry Road as detailed in the Essex County Council (Various Roads, Ashingdon and Canewdon) (Weight Restriction) Order 1991 for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT3164043630032025 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
