Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Rochford as specified in the schedule.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per the schedule to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Rochford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping and On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 26th March 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Vange in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Osborne Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th April 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (YN10013571-ERI-STM-JW – MBNL). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Elder Way, Wickford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Elder Way, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Elder Avenue for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30044976476 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of Fountain Lane, Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Folly Lane to its junction with High Road a distance of approximately 325m.
- To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Fountain Lane, Hockley in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Folly Lane to its junction with High Road as detailed in ‘The County Council of Essex (Fountain Lane, Hockley) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1973’ for the duration of the above closure only.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Highcliffe Road, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 255m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th April 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2397711 – Essex County Council).
