LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WHITE CARR LANE AND WARREN DRIVE, THORNTON CLEVELEYS, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of
i. White Carr Lane from its junction with Bescot Way to its junction with Warren Drive.
ii. Warren Drive from its junction with White Carr Lane to its junction with Norcross Lane.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0800 hours until 1800 hours on Tuesday 14th April 2026 until Wednesday 15th April 2026 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
White Carr Lane – Anchorsholme Lane - Luton Road – North Drive - A587 Fleetwood Road – Devonshire Road - Bispham Road - Moor Park Avenue – Faraday Way and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow deslit of Royles Brook watercourse and 21t excavator and wagons to be on site works to be carried out by Chevron TM.
