THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (WASHINGTON VILLAGE SPRING FAMILY EVENT) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
Sunderland City Council gives notice that on 23rd March 2026 it made an Order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicle traffic from Spout Lane in Washington Village between the junction of Valley Forge and the junction of Village Lane and Glebe Crescent. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a social event. The order will come into force on 28th March 2026. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be three days. However, the event is scheduled for just one day. All vehicles, will be prohibited from Spout Lane in Washington Village between the junction of Valley Forge and the junction of Village Lane and Glebe Crescent, between the hours of 05.30 and 19.00hrs or until the event has finished or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided.
