Kent Street - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Kent Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.59) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 7th April 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
KENT STREET
From its junction with Curzon Howe Road to its junction with College Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 08:30 to 17:30 on 7th April 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Kent Street, Portland Street, Burnaby Road, Cambridge Road, Cambridge Junction Roundabout, High Street, St Georges Road, St Georges Square.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
