What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS –
NO WAITING ON VARIOUS ROADS IN BORDEN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: To implement the following No Waiting restrictions as described below:

Sides of road at Bordon in the District of East Hampshire

No waiting at any time

High Street

East

(i) between its junction with Oldfield Close, and a point 16 metres north thereof.

(ii) between its junction with Oldfield Close and a point 10 metres south thereof.

High Street

West

Between a point 76 metres north of its roundabout junction with Petersfield Road and a point 32 metres north of that point.

Oldfield Close

South

Between its junction with High Street and a point 108 metres north-east thereof.

North

Between its junction with High Street to a point 95 metres north-east thereof.

(i) Bordon Library, Forest Centre, Pinehill Road, Bordon, GU35 0TN

(Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 09.30 – 17.00; Saturday: 09.30 – 13.30)

(ii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ

(Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 17.15; Fridays 8.30 – 16.45)

(iii) Copies of the draft order, plan and statement of reasons can also be obtained by emailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Universal Services, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2117/DL

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2117/DL, by Friday 10th April 2026. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, Bordon) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026".
