THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(KING GEORGE ROAD, HAYDOCK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along King George Road at its junction with Queens Road, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Friday 17th April, 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be 8 days. The alternative route will be via Norman Road, Southward Road, Queens Road and vice versa.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the installation of a new electricity cable.
