North Ayrshire, Multiple Temporary 20mph Speed Limit Orders

What is happening?

THE NORTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL

(Temporary 20mph Speed Limit)

The following Orders are made under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,as amended, because of the likelihood of danger to the public.

The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Ardrossan) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 - The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Saltcoats) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 - The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Stevenston) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 - The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Beith) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 - The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Dalry) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026 - The North Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Kilbirnie) (Temporary 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2026

No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of the Orders.

The Orders shall come into operation on 23rd March 2026 and will remain in operation for a period of eighteen months. Orders are available for inspection, at: www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/roads-and-parking/roadworks-and-road-closures, or during normal working hours Monday to Friday inclusive at: The Offices of North Ayrshire Council, Cunninghame House, Irvine, KA12 8EE.
