Main Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of East Coker Temporary Closure of Main Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Main Street - from the junction with Yeovil Road, south-eastwards for a total distance of 207 metres.
This Order will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 1st April 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th April 2026 and last until 17th April 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 11 days.
