What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

Notice Of Making Of An Order Highways Act 1980 (Public Bridleway No.37, Brampton) Public Path Creation Order 2026

The above Order, made on 13th March 2026 under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980, will create Public Bridleway No.37, Brampton starting at OSGR TL: 1941 7175, south of Brampton Hut service area, proceeding generally in a southerly direction along an asphalt path for approximately 369 metres to OSGR TL: 1942 7147, where it proceeds in a south easterly direction over the A1 carriageway via a bridge for approximately 190 metres to OSGR TL: 1953 7132. It then curves round to a north-easterly direction, then a north westerly direction for approximately 181 metres to OSGR TL: 1958 7147. It then proceeds in a south easterly direction for approximately 119 metres to OSGR TL: 1962 7136 to its junction with Public Footpath No.15, Brampton. It then continues in a generally south-south-easterly direction for approximately 395 metres to its junction with West End, Brampton where it terminates.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the undersigned not later than Wednesday 15th April 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cambridgeshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
