Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

Aldon Lane, Offham, ME19 5PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Aldon Lane, Offham, on or after 15th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A20 London Road, for a distance approximately 100 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Teston Road, Aldon Lane and vice versa.



Crouch Lane, Borough Green TN15 8LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crouch Lane, Borough Green, on or after 13th April 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Inglewood. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crouch Lane, Long Mill Lane, A25 Maidstone Road, Crouch Lane and vice versa.



Higham Lane, Tonbridge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow tree trimming and removal works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Higham Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 17th April 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A227 Shipbourne Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashes Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, The Ridgeway, A227 Shipbourne Road and vice versa.



Livesey Street, Wateringbury, ME18 5BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Livesey Street, Wateringbury, on or after 13th April 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from just past the end of car park for North Pole Public House and up to existing current storm channel drain. Outside the former Cromar Nursery. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Lucks Hill, West Malling, ME19 6HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Hill, West Malling, on or after 2nd April 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Station Approach to Swan Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lucks Hill, Winterfield Lane, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street, Swan Street and vice versa.



Philpots Lane, Hildenborough, TN11 8PA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow earthworks to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Philpots Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 4th April 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed either side of the railway bridge, between the hours of 00:01 on 4th April 2026 and 04:00 on 6th April 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Philpots Lane, Nizels Lane, B245 London Road, A21 Weald Interchange, Morleys Road, Scabharbour Road, Egg Pie Lane, Eggpie Lane and vice versa.



Rock Road, Borough Green, TN15 8RQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow underground cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rock Road, Borough Green, on or after 13th April 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ivy Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Quarry Hill Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, Rock Road and vice versa.



Snodland Road, Snodland, ME6 5GW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water mains works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Snodland Road, Snodland, on or after 3rd April 2026 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Mary Last Close to the junction with St. Benedict Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, St Katherines Lane, Malling Road, A228 Snodland By-pass Roundabout, A228 Malling Road, A228 Castle Way, A228 Leybourne By-pass, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Roughetts Road, The Street, Birling Road, Ryarsh Road, Snodland Road and vice versa.



Swan Street, West Malling, ME19 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow link box works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Swan Street, West Malling, on or after 13th April 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Swan Street, Lucks Hill, Winterfield Lane, A20 London Road, Town Hill, High Street and vice versa.



Teston Road, Offham, ME19 5PF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teston Road, Offham, on or after 15th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from 100 metres East of the junction with Aldon Road, for a distance approximately 100 metres in an East direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Teston Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, Comp Lane, Teston Road and vice versa.
