What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

Joyce Green Lane, Dartford, DA1 5LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Joyce Green Lane, Dartford, on or after 14th April 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed Southbound carriageway only, turning left onto A206 Bob Dunn Way. The closure will be imposed between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Sandy Lane, Bean, DA2 8AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of the replacement of one decayed telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandy Lane, Bean, on or after 13th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Claywood Lane.

The alternative route is via Sandy Lane, Park Corner Road, B262 Betsham Road, B255 Southfleet Road, School Lane and vice versa.
