INTERMITTENT ROAD CLOSURE
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT:
• Intermittent road closure to all vehicles and pedestrians whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off
• Intermittent no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off
WHERE: Deansleigh Road, between the two roundabouts (in both directions) adjacent to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital helicopter landing site.
WHEN: Anticipated dates: 28th March 2026 until 27th September 2027
WHY: To maintain the safety of the public whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off at the helicopter landing site.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
