What is happening?
INSTALLATION OF BICYCLE HANGARS, VARIOUS ROADS
1. Notice is hereby given that on 12 March 2026 Portsmouth City Council has made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: The Portsmouth City Council (Various Roads) (Waiting Restrictions) (No.6) Order 2024.
2. The effect of the Order will be to introduce "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions in the following roads, in order to accommodate cycle storage hangars 2 metres long in the following locations:
Adair Road, west side, outside Eastney Methodist Church (in place of parking for MG Zone permit holders); Fordingbridge Road, north-east side at the side of No 53 Henderson Road (in place of parking for MH Zone permit holders).
3. Copies of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons and Map are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search 'Traffic Regulation Orders 2026" at
Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 023 92 606480.
4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
5. This Order comes into operation on 23 March 2026.
