Order 2026
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Broom Close – for its full extent.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 7 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 10 April 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Golden Jubilee Way – from the junction with A22 Shinewater roundabout to the junction with A22 Dittons Road roundabout South.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via A22 Golden Jubilee Way – A27(T) Dittons Road roundabout North, Polegate bypass, Cop Hall roundabout, Eastbourne Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road, Willingdon Road, Crossways roundabout – A2021 Kings Drive, Rodmill roundabout – A2280 Cross Levels Way, Upperton Farm roundabout, Cross Levels Way, Broadwater roundabout, Cross Levels Way – A22 Lottbridge roundabout, Highfield Link, Shinewater roundabout and northbound via A22 Shinewater roundabout, Highfield Link, Lottbridge roundabout – A2280 Cross Levels Way, Broadwater roundabout, Cross Levels Way, Upperton Farm roundabout, Cross Levels Way – A2021 Rodmill roundabout, Kings Drive – A2270 Crossways roundabout, Willingdon Road, Eastbourne Road – A27(T) Eastbourne Road, Cop Hall roundabout, Polegate bypass, Dittons Road roundabout North – A22 Golden Jubilee Way.
The Order commences 26 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 05:00hrs on the dates detailed below depending upon the weather conditions.

Between 11 and 14 May 2026
Between 27 and 30 July 2026
