(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Holme Crescent, Biggleswade opposite number 84.
This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 17 April 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Rook Tree Lane, Stotfold outside number 20 to 24
This temporary closure is required to leak repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BIGGLESWADE: BRIDLEWAY NO. 89 AND PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 58) PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2026 On 13 March 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create the public bridleways described below.
The length of Bridleway No. 89, Biggleswade to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2119 4262 in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 564 metres to its junction with Footpath No. 39, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2155 4221 then continues in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 348 metres crossing a vehicular culvert to OS GR TL 2178 4238 then continues in a generally north-north-easterly direction for approximately 496 metres to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 57, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2194 4284.
The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
The second length of Bridleway No. 89, Biggleswade to be created extends from its junction with Market Garden Road at OS GR TL 2110 4298 in an easterly direction for approximately 2 metres to its junction with Footpath No. 39, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2111 4298 then continues in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 345 metres to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2132 4272.
The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
The length of Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade to be created extends from an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2171 4313 in a northerly direction for approximately 7 metres crossing a vehicular culvert to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 57, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2171 4314.
The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.

On 13 March 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public footpath described below.
The first length of Footpath No. 39, Biggleswade to be stopped up extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 58, Biggleswade at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2119 4262 in a generally south-easterly direction for approximately 564 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 39, Biggleswade at OS GR TL 2155 4221.
The footpath is stopped up over its full width.

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (POTTON: FOOTPATH NO 21) PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2024
On 13 February 2026 the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create a public footpath running from Potton Footpath No. 1 to Hutchinson Rise.
That length of Footpath No. 21, Potton to be created extends from its junction with Potton Footpath No. 1 at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2248 4888 in a west-south-westerly direction for approximately 19 metres over a footbridge over the Potton Brook at OS GR TL 2247 4888 to the boundary of an area of public open space at OS GR TL 2246 4887 then extends in a generally easterly direction along a surfaced path for approximately 77 metres to the edge of a play area at OS GR TL 2239 4886 then extends in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 5 metres along a surfaced path to OS GR TL 2238 4886 then continues in a north-north-easterly direction for approximately 20 metres along a surfaced path to its junction with the footway at Hutchinson Rise at OS GR TL 2239 4888.
The new length of footpath has a width of 3 metres.
This Order revokes the Central Bedfordshire Council (Potton: Footpath No 21) Public Path Creation Order 2022.
