(WESTERN AVENUE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 81) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for repair/maintenance/ replacement of telecommunications mast to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Western Avenue, Pontefract between the junction of Monckton

Road and the junction of Cobblers Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Western Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Western Avenue,

Bondgate, South Baileygate, Southgate, Baghill

Lane, Western Avenue & vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

23rd March 2026 to 25th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BARNSLEY ROAD, HEMSWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 82) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds install new sewer connection to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Barnsley Road, Hemsworth one way closure from Market Street to Pear Tree Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Barnsley Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Market Street, Bullenshaw Road, Highfield Road, Moorshutt Road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 21st March 2026 to 25th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching works to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: The Green, Airedale outside odd numbered properties only. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of The Green.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kendal Drive, The Green,

Elizabeth Drive & vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 07.30 hours on 24th March 2026 to 15.30 hours on 26th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 84) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to plane, resurface & patch to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Liberty Square, Airedale from number 2 to the end, entrance to carpark to the end. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Liberty Square.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours on 23rd March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Chestnut Green.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours on 20th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(POWELL STREET, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 86) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Powell Street, Castleford full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Powell Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Carlton Street, Albion

Street, Enterprise Way & vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22.00 hours on 23rd March 2026 to 06.00 hours on 25th March 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(REAR OF BANKS AVENUE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 87) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway planing resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Rear of 23 to 35 Banks

Avenue and rear of numbers 1 to 9 back of Olive Villas, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of rear of Banks Avenue, Pontefract.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: West Mount Street,

Banks Avenue, Olive Villas & vice versa

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including
