BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (A473 BOCAM PARK TO FACTORY LANE, PENCOED) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Pencoed in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily introduce the restriction set out in the schedule below. The Order is in the interest of public safety due to insufficient width of carriageway to maintain vehicular access during carriageway resurfacing works.
The Order will come into force on the 25/03/2026 and will continue in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that the planned works will be undertaken between from 30th March 2026 to 7th April 2026. Schedule-No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along A473 Bocam Park Roundabout to Factory Lane, Pencoed approximately 420 meters.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A473 Bocam Park Roundabout to Coychurch Roundabout, A473 Coychurch Roundabout to Waterton Roundabout, A473 Cowbridge Road, A473 Inner By-pass, A4063 Tondu Road,A4061 Bridgend Cross Valley Link. A4061 Bridgned Cross Valley Link Gyratory, A4061 Heol Rotari Rhyngwladol, A4061 Heol West Plas to Heol-y-groes, A4061 Lithcard Hill Dual Carriageway,A4061 Penycae Roundabout to Junction 36, A4061 Junction 36, A4061 Sarn Interchange to Heol Canola, A4061 Heol Canola to A5065 Brynmenyn Link, A4061 Brynmenyn Link to Mason’s Roundabout, B4280 Mason’s Arms to Pant Hirwaun, B4280 Pant Hirwaun, B4280 Brynwith Crossing to Heol-y-cyw, B4280 Brynwith Crossing to Penprysg Roundabout, A473 Penybont Road,A473 Felindre Roundabout to Agricultural Roundabout, A473 Felindre Roundabout to M4 Junction 35, A473 M4 Junction 35 to Bocam Park Roundabout and vice versa.Access will be provided through the restriction for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies.The restrictions shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
