(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Chapel Street, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of  18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 23 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on  6 April 2026. The Order is required for new water connection to supermarket.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Chapel Street, Selkirk.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Chapel Street, Ettrick Terrace, High Street and Scotts Place to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. Local access shall be maintained.

(MILL ROAD AND STATION ROAD, STOW)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Mill Road and Station Road, Stow) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 28 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00. The Order is required in the interests of road/public safety due to increased traffic attending the Stow Pump Track Event.

When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of road/public safety, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the following roads:

(i) Mill Road - from Station Road north for 60 metres – east side (ii) Station Road – from Mill Road eastwards for 60 metres – north side

(VARIOUS ROADS, LANTON AND CRAILING AREAS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Lanton and Crailing Areas) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, shall come into force at 09:00 on 23 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 21:00 on 12 April 2026 as detailed below. The Order is required to allow A G Wilson to carry out borehole works on behalf of Scottish Water.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the following roads in Galashiels for the duration of each closure:

(a)  Closure 1: D59/3 South of Lanton from 09:00 on Monday 23 March to 21:00 on Sunday 29 March 2026;

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via D59/3, D58/3, C38, B6358, D59/3 to point of closure,  for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;

(b)  Closure 2: C38 South of Lanton from 09:00 on Monday 30 March to 21:00 on Sunday 5 April 2026;

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via B6358, A698 and C38 to point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(c)   Closure 3: C62 Crailing from 09:00 on Monday 6 April to 21:00 on Sunday 12 April 2026.

The alternative route for southeast bound traffic is via C62, C39, A698 to point of closure.                  
For northeast bound traffic, the reverse of the foregoing.

(GLENFIELD TERRACE, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Glenfield Terrace, Galashiels) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 23 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 27 March 2026, as detailed below. The Order is required for drainage works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a)  drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Glenfield Terrace, Galashiels between the hours of 08:30 and 16:00 each day. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Glenfield Terrace, Glenfield Crecent and Melrose Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b)  permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Glenfield Terrace, Galashiels from the junction with Melrose Road for approximately 30 metres from 08:00 on 23 March 2026 to 16:00 on 27 March 2026.

(D4/4 WINEBURGH AND C76 BLAINSLIE)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (D4/4 Wineburgh and C76 Blainslie) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 23 March 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 27 March 2026,  as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads:

(a)  Closure 1: D4/4 at Wineburgh to Galadean Road on 23 March for a period of two days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the A68 and C76 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b)  Closure 2: C76 at Blainslie to Sorrowlessfield Road on 25 March for a period of three days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C76, A68 and C76 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
