(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit persons from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No 1420_1 from its junction with Public Footpath No. 1418_1 (513878.273, 135533.476) to A29 Bognor Road (514245.658, 135234.366), a distance of 560M.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 23 March 2026 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Bridleway is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

(Shipley: Public Footpath No. 1889)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit persons from proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 1889 from its western end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 1888 (515428,125403), eastwards to its junction with Shipley Road (515594,125341), a distance of approximately 175M. 

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to tree felling and site preparation works.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

This Order will now come into effect on 16 March 2026 and will last for 6 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
