(Fittleworth: Lower Street)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Upper Street and School Lane.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst a carriageway side retaining wall is repaired.

The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 7 April 2026 and will take 6 weeks to complete.

Any queries about the works to take place or the effect of the Order on vehicles using the highway should be directed to WSCC, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Boxgrove: Stane Street & A285)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Stane Street at the junction with the A285; and

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 40MPH on the A285

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst carriageway widening and resurfacing works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 2 April 2026 and will be completed on 26 April 2026.

(Apuldram, Donnington & Fishbourne:
Public Footpath No. 176,176_1)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No 176, 176_1 from the junction with Apuldram Lane South (484435.765, 103720.717) to junction with A27 Chichester Bypass (485148.861, 104128.200), a distance of 858M.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 20 March 2026 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Footpath is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

(Bognor Regis: Clarence Road Amendment) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact a recently installed loading bay for any vehicle at any time on the western side of Clarence Road in Bognor Regis, mid-way between its junctions with The Esplanade and Belmont Street.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 23 March 2026, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 19 March 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
