(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 48) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for footway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Newton Avenue, Outwood, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Newton Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd March 2026 to 21st April 2026 between 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours daily or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 28) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for footway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wordsworth Grove, Stanley, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wordsworth Grove.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A dead end road.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd March 2026 to 21st April 2026, 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 80) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation works and installation of anti vandal palisade fencing to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Balne Lane, Wakefield 20 metres either side of railway bridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Balne Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Balne Lane, Alverthorpe Road, Westgate End, Westgate, Mulberry Way, Burton Street, Cliff Parade, Drury Lane, Westgate, Westgate End, Alverthorpe Road, Balne Lane.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd March 2026 to 25th March 2026 between 23.30 hours to 06.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 99) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for corrosion treatment to the rail structure to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Haw Park Lane, Walton at the Network Rail bridge. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Haw Park Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Chevet Lane, Notton Lane, Navvy Lane, Cold Hiendley Common Lane, Haw Park Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th April 2026 to 11th April 2026 between 22.00 hours to 06.00 hours, open at all other times or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Finkin Lane, Stanley, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Finkin Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th April 2026 to 5th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(GERVASE ROAD, HORBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 101) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway patching to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Gervase Road, Horbury outside number 54 to number 56. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Gervase Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Gervase Road, Clifton Road, Westfield Road, Manor Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th April 2026 between 07.30 hours and 15.30 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
