What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC)
(VARIOUS ROADS, WALSALL) ORDER MARCH & APRIL 2026



Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in the lengths of:
 CHAUCER AVENUE, WILLENHALL that is situated outside property numbers 16-18.
(08:00 – 16:00, Thursday 26 March 2026).
Reason for Order: Highway maintenance work.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council.
 AVON DRIVE, WILLENHALL that is situated outside property number 2.
(09:30 – 15:30, Wednesday 1 April 2026)
Reason for Order: Repair defective frame and cover.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent.
And, temporarily suspend the operation of the southbound bus lane in that length of carriageway
specified below:
 B4210 STAFFORD STREET, WALSALL offside carriageway which extends from a point 15
metres south of its junction with Short Acre Street for a distance of 116 metres in a southerly
direction to its junction with Day Street.
(20:00 Friday 27 March 2026 to 16:00 Sunday 29 March 2026).
Reason for Order: New electricity connection.
Works on behalf of: Powertek Utilities.
This Order will come into operation on Thursday 26 March 2026. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
