THE SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
(EARL MARSHAL) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 19 March 2026 Sheffield City Council made the
above Order which comes into operation on 23 March 2026 under the provisions of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the whole or on
parts of Barretta Street, Birchlands Drive, Birchlands View, Bland Street, Botham
Street, Carlisle Road, Carlisle Street East (industrial cul-de-sac), Carwood Close,
Carwood Green, Carwood Grove, Carwood Road, Chambers Lane, Cyclops Street,
Earl Marshal Road, Fieldhouse Way, Garter Road, Garter Street, Grimesthorpe
Road, Heathcote Street, Hinde House Lane, Hunsley Street, Margate Drive, Margate
Street, Owler Lane, Petre Drive, Petre Street, Rushby Street, Ruthin Street, Selby
Road, Skinnerthorpe Road, Torbay Road, Upwell Hill, Upwell Lane, Whiteways
Close, Whiteways Drive, Whiteways Grove, Whiteways Road and Wood Spring
Court.

(MAP SCHEDULE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 19 March 2026 Sheffield City Council made the
above Order which comes into operation on 23 March 2026 under the provisions of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on part of Sheldon
Road.
A copy of the Orders may be examined during normal opening hours at First Point
Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH or within the Sealed
Traffic Orders section on the Council website at

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of its provisions
on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a
requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder
has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 23 March 2026 make
application for that purpose to the High Court.
