What is happening?

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.4 (PART)
HAYFIELD

WHEN: 03 April to 02 October 2026.
WHERE: Close Hayfield footpath No.4 from
SK 03742 85977 to SK 03836 85927.
REASON: To facilitate public safety due to footpath erosion.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the northern closure point travel southwest along bridleway No.5 then south on bridleway No.8 to the southern closure point. Vice versa from the south. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic. Julian Gould, Highways Director –
