VARIOUS ROADS IN THE COUNTY OF STAFFORDSHIRE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN, TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council will make an Order on the 17/3/26 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those roads in the Borough of Stafford that comprise the route of the Stafford Half Marathon 2026 as summarised below. Any vehicle being used in connection with the event; or being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purpose will be exempt from the restrictions contained in the Order.
The restrictions are necessary to maintain the safety of all participants and road users. No alternative routes are advised for affected traffic as the restrictions will only be effective for so long as is necessary for the participants to pass.
The Order will not at any time prevent access of pedestrians to properties situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates or to any properties only accessible to pedestrians from such a road.
1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of roads:
Schedule 1. Closures to be implemented and lifted between 07:00-15:30. Eastgate Street (from Cope Street to Salter Street), Greengate Street (from Crabberry Street to South Walls), South Walls (from Greengate Street to Greengate Walk), Greengate Walk, Tenterbanks A5187 (from Broadeye roundabout to Victoria Road), Mill Street (from Greengate Street for approximately 73m in an easterly direction), South Street (from Victoria Road for approximately 93m in a north westerly direction), Lichfield Road A518 (from Queensway Island gyratory for approximately 61m in a north westerly direction), Kingsway A5288 (from the roundabout with Redgrave Drive to Newport Road), Newport Road A518 (from West Way to Bridge Street), West Way, St Leonard’s Avenue (at the junction with Lichfield Road), Queensville Avenue (at the junction with Lichfield Road), Baswich Lane (from Weeping Cross to Audlem Road), Weston Road A518 (at the roundabout with Hydrant Way), Portal Road (at the junction with Beaconside), Sandon Road (at the junction with Beaconside), Stone Road A34 (southbound from the Redhill roundabout to the junction with Holmcroft Road and northbound from Greyfriars roundabout to the junction with Holmcroft Road), Holmcroft Road (from First Avenue to Stone Road), Doxey Road (betwen the junctions with Unicorn Way and Pans Road) & Beaconside (between the junctions with Common Road and Stone Road). The following roads will be closed in their entirety: Tipping Street, Water Street, Victoria Road and St Thomas Lane.

Schedule 3
The One-way Order on Mill Street (between its junction with Water Street and Greengate Street) and Earl Street (between its junction with Broad Street and Water Street) is temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order.
Left turns will be prohibited at the following locations:
Mill Bank (when exiting The Swan car park), Beaconside (at the junction with Portal Road) & Beaconside (at the junction with Sandon Road, Stafford).
Right turns will be prohibited at the following locations:
Malborough Avenue (at the junction with Weston Road), Beaconside (at the junction with Portal Road) & Beaconside (at the junction with Sandon Road, Stafford).
A temporary No Waiting at Any Time will be in place on Abberley Grove, Stafford
IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED FROM 07:30 HOURS. THE ROAD WILL RE-OPEN ONCE THE EVENT HAS CONCLUDED WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE BY 15:30 HOURS.
The Order will come into operation on the 22/3/26 and will remain in force until the event has concluded. The event is being organised by Stafford Borough Council.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 17/3/26 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:
Church Street, Stone. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB147876190.
The Order will come into operation on 20/3/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day.
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the manhole frame and cover replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along
Beechcliffe Lane, Tittensor. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148450984. The Order will come into operation on 6/4/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 10/4/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the BT poly duct installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Back Lane, Croxton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB147900604. The Order will come into operation on 2/4/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 3/4/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the boundary box installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
London Road, Pasturefields. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB147584408. The Order will come into operation on 05/04/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 06/04/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the bridge inspection works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Broad Lane, Church Eaton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148875008. The Order will come into operation on 7/4/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/5/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the water main renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Stafford St, Stone. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148197308. The Order will come into operation on 7/4/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 8/4/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the defective iron work repairs, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Long Ln, Dunston Heath. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB148572395. The Order will come into operation on 03/04/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the carriageway degradation/highway repair works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
