AS INSERTED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION

(SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994 SECTION 1

(WAKEFIELD HOSPICE CITY 10K ROAD RACE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION/RESTRICTION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield (‘the Council’) has made an Order under Section 16 (A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order shall be to prohibit and restrict vehicles from using the highways identified in the schedule below.

The alternative routes are identified in the schedule below.

The Order is intended to be in force between 06:00 hours and 11:00 hours on Sunday 22nd March 2026 for the purposes of holding the Wakefield Hospice City 10k Road Race. The Council is satisfied that traffic on the said roads should be restricted or prohibited for the purpose of facilitating the holding of this event, under Section 16A(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation ( Special Events) Act  1994.
