What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2017
NOTICE OF VARIATION OF CHARGES

The Borough Council hereby gives NOTICE in exercise of its powers under Sections 35(1), 35(3), 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 (Part V) of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, of its intention to increase the charging tariffs for the pay and display off-street car parks listed in the Schedule to this Notice and which will come into effect from Wednesday, 1st April 2026.

Passenger Vehicles, Light Goods Vehicles, Vehicles displaying a Disabled Person’s Badge, Motorcycles or Vehicles not exceeding 3050 kilograms gross vehicle weight are permitted to park.

All vehicles must be parked wholly within a marked parking bay.

A period of no return may be specified by notice at the car park.

Restrictions for use and penalties for non-compliance with parking provisions otherwise remain the same as detailed within existing Order.
