Barnoldby Road And Sterling Crescent - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic To Carriageway Resurfacing

What is happening?

THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a)
BARNOLDBY ROAD AND STERLING CRESCENT, GRIMSBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC - TTRO (26-051) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

• A section of BARNOLDBY ROAD - Part length from the eastern boundary of 123 BARNOLDBY ROAD, in a north easterly direction, for a distance of 190 metres. Alternative route: , Bradley Road, Woodhill Drive, Sunningdale, Birkdale, Barnoldby Road (Reverse Route Applies)

• A section of STERLING CRESCENT - Part length from its bell mouth, with BARNOLDBY ROUD, in a south easterly direction, for a distance of 15 metres. Alternative route: Chestnut Road, Sterling Crescent (Reverse Route Applies)

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North east Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as carriageway resurfacing.

The order will come into operation on Monday, 30 March 2026, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 19 June 2026. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
