Hampshire County Council - Multiple Temporary road restrictions in the New Forest

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING – VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES, NEW FOREST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under s14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, because of the likelihood of danger to the public on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE RESTRICTED –To impose waiting restrictions during such times and to such extent as will be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 on the following roads:

DURATION OF ORDER: from 1st April 2026 for a period of 18 months.

The traffic authority is satisfied that there is a likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road resultant from unsafe highway parking obstructing visual splays or obstructing passage along the highway following the introduction of charges to Forestry England car parks on the roads listed and surrounding area. The order is made to enable the traffic authority to prohibit waiting on the roads listed to secure safe movement of traffic. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as will be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
