What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BINFIELD, WARFIELD AND WINKFIELD) (RESTRICTED ROAD AND SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 82(2), 84(1) and 84(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effects of the Order:
1. To introduce the new speed limits contained in Schedule 1 & 2.
2. To revoke the existing lengths of speed limit contained in Schedules 3 & 4.
The Order was made on the 9th March 2026 and came into effect on the 13th March 2026
Order to be Consolidated into this Order and revoked:
Bracknell Forest Borough Council (Various Roads, Binfield, Warfield and Winkfield) (Restricted Road and Speed Limit) Order 2025.
All existing speed limits contained in the Traffic Regulation Order entitled ‘Bracknell Forest Borough Council (Various Roads, Binfield, Warfield and Winkfield) (Restricted Road and Speed Limit) Order 2025’ that are not mentioned above will remain in force and will be consolidated into this Order.
Objections:
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the 11th of March 2026, make application for this purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1
New 30mph Speed Limit (By Means of Restricted Road Status)
B3017 Priory Road
From its junctions with Long Hill Road / Locks Ride south-eastwards for a distance of 492 metres.
SCHEDULE 2
New 40mph Speed Limit
B3017 Priory Road
From its junction with A329 London Road to a point 492 metres south east of its junction with Long Hill Road / Locks Ride, a distance of 545 metres.
SCHEDULE 3
Revoke existing 30mph Speed Limit (By Means of Restricted Road Status)
B3017 Priory Road
From its junctions with Long Hill Road / Locks Ride south-eastwards for a distance of 88 metres.
SCHEDULE 4
Revoke existing 40mph Speed Limit
B3017 Priory Road
From its junction with A329 London Road to a point 88 metres south east of its junction with Long Hill Road / Locks Ride, a distance of 950 metres.
All distances are approximate and, where applicable, are taken from the centre of the stated junctions.
