CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(EASTERN WAY, HEATH AND REACH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends

not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Eastern Way, Heath and Reach outside double arches farm in line with unit 9.

This temporary closure is required to enable inline meter replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 15 April 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A5, Woburn Rd, Birds Hill, Eastern Way and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SOUTH STREET, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of South Street, Leighton Buzzard outside number 103.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 1 April 2026 between the hours of 0900-1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A4012, Stanbridge Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 1 April 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(ORCHARD DRIVE, LINSLADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Orchard Drive, Linslade between Bunkers Lane and number 4.

This temporary closure is required to enable dig & investigation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 30 March to 1 April 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 30 March 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING

MILL ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD

WAITING RESTRICTIONS

On 10th March 2026 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To introduce No waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1. Mill Road, from the junction with Barrow Path and extending in a slightly northwest direction for approximately 8 metres.

2. Mill Road, north side, from the junction with Barrow Path and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 8 metres, ending at a point in line with the common property boundary between No.8 and No.10 Mill Road.

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of South Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.11) Order 2026

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 24th March 2026.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 10th March 2026, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
