Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 2JH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of remedial works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 23rd March 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Halfway House.
The alternative route is via A224 London Road/Amherst Hill, A25 Worships Hill/Westerham Road, A21 Sevenoaks Bypass, A225 Riverhill/Tonbridge Road/High Street, A224 London Road and vice versa.
B2042 Ide Hill Road, Ide Hill & Four Elms and B2042 Green Lane, Four Elms, TN14 6JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the refreshment of all road markings, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on B2042 Ide Hill Road, Ide Hill and Four Elms and B2042 Green Lane, Four Elms, on or after 23rd March 2026 for up to 3 nights between 21.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The roads will be closed between Scollops Farm and Four Elms Hall.
The alternative route is via B2042 Green Lane/Ide Hill Road/Wheatsheaf Hill/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road/High Street/Westerham Road, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Main Road/Spout Lane/Pootings Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road and vice versa.
Chevening Road, Chipstead, TN13 2SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of THAMES WATER UTILITIES LIMITED works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chevening Road, Chipstead, on or after 7th April 2026 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 111.
The alternative route is via B211 Ovenden Road, B211 Chevening Road, A25 Main Road, A25 Westerham Road, Homedean Road, Chevening Road and vice versa.
Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, TN8 5LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one decayed telegraph pole and rehang the associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crouch House Road, Edenbridge, on or after 27th March 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the entrance to number 9.
The alternative route is via Crouch House Road, Stangrove Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way/Station Road/Main Road, Hilders Lane, Little Browns Lane and vice versa.
Ensfield Road, Leigh, TN11 9AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ensfield Road, Leigh, on or after 10th April 2026 for up to 4 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the entrance to Killicks Bank and Ensfield Farm.
The alternative route is via Ensfield Road, Hayesden Lane, B2176 Penhurst Road, B2176 Rogues Hill, B2188 High Street, B2176 Penshurst Road, Penshurst Road, B2027 Penshurst Road, Lower Green Road and vice versa.
Grove Road, Penshurst, TN8 7DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of access to the site to complete a telecoms pole swap, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grove Road, Penshurst, on or after 24th March 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Finch Green.
The alternative route is via Finch Green, Coldharbour Road, Smarts Hill, B2188 Fordcombe Road and vice versa.
Kingswood Road, Dunton Green, TN14 5FY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electric connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kingswood Road, Dunton Green, on or after 26th March 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside No. 29.
The alternative route is via Kingswood Road, Station Road, A224 London Road, Milton Road and vice versa.
Little Browns Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6LJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Little Browns Lane, Edenbridge, on or after 7th April 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside “Benbron”.
The alternative route is via Crouch House Road, Stangrove Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, B2026 Station Road, B2026 Main Road, Hilders Lane and vice versa.
Park Lane, Seal, TN15 0JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of SOUTH EAST WATER LIMITED works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Seal, on or after 7th April 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Woodland Rise and Parkfield.
The alternative route is via Park Lane, Blackhall Lane, B2019 Seal Hollow Road, A25 Seal Road, A25 High Street and vice versa.
Rye Lane, Otford, TN14 5LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rye Lane, Otford, on or after 6th April 2026 to 7th April 2026 and 7th April 2026 to 9th April 2026 or until the works have been completed.
6th April 2026 - The road will be closed adjacent to 10 Shinecroft.
7th April 2026 - The road will be closed outside Byways.
The alternative route is via Rye Lane, High Street, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Otford Road, A225 St Johns Hill, A225 Dartford Road, B2020 St Botolphs Road, A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 London Road, A224 London Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Wellers Town Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, TN8 7AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one decayed telegraph pole and rehang the associated cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellers Town Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, on or after 26th March 2026 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 15:00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between The Village and Hampkins Hill Road.
The alternative route is via The Village, Lockskinners, Wilderness Lane, Cowden Pound Road To Truggers Lane, Truggers Lane, Ryewell Hill and vice versa.
