NOTICE is given that the Council have made the Ceredigion County Council (A486 Cross Inn, Llandysul) Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway.
Pedestrian access maintained.

The alternative route for north-west bound traffic from a point south-east of the closure is to travel along the A486 to its junction with the A487T at Synod Inn. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the B4342C at Llanarth. Turn left onto the B4342C and travel approximately 2.5 miles to New Quay, continuing on the B4342 Margaret Street, Park Street, Hill Street, Church Road and A486. Travel along the A486 through Maengroes to Cross Inn, a point north-west of the closure; and vice versa.
A total distance of approximately 8.4 miles.
The Order was implemented on 09/03/2026 and will remain in place whilst renewal works of existing asbestos cement mains are completed by Welsh Water in approximately 9 weeks.
The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
The Council intends, not less than 7 days from 10/03/2026, to make the Ceredigion County Council (C1012, Heol y Garreg, U5132 Pontgarreg and C1012 Llangrannog, Llandysul) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2026 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway. Pedestrian access maintained.

Turn right onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the C1012. Turn right onto the C1012 and travel to a point west of the closure; and vice versa.

Turn right onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the C1012. Turn right onto the C1012 and travel to a point west of the closure; and vice versa.

Turn right onto the B4334 and travel to its junction with the A487T at Brynhoffnant. Turn right onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the U5072. Turn right onto the U5072 and travel to its junction with the C1012. Turn right onto the C1012 and travel to a point west of the closure; and vice versa.
Total distance approximately 4.6 miles.
It is intended that the Order will come into force on 01/04/2026 and will remain in place until renewal works of the existing asbestos cement mains for Welsh Water are completed – approximately 7 months.
The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
C1135 Rhydlewis, Llandysul
The Council intends, not less than 7 days from 16/03/2026, to make the Ceredigion County Council (C1135 Rhydlewis, Llandysul) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2026 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway.
Pedestrian access maintained.
The alternative route for south-westbound traffic from a point north-east of the closure is to travel along the C1135 to its junction with the C1051. Turn left onto the C1051 and travel to its junction with the A487T at Plwmp. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the C1132 at Pentregat. Turn left onto the C1132 and travel to its junction with the C1135 and a point south-west of the closure. Vice versa for north-eastbound traffic.
Total distance approximately 5.3 miles.
It is intended for the road to be closed between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 and for the Order to come into force on 01/04/2026.
The Order will remain in place until cabling and poling works are completed – approximately 1 week.
The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
